Venue Details.

Bounce Sporting Club echoes a modern sports bar vibe, coupled with an upscale ambiance that appeals to Manhattan-ites that live a fashionable lifestyle.

From the bouncer out front to the 4,000 square foot floor plan, it’s clear that the downtown Bounce Sporting Club aims to set itself apart from other sports bars. Cast in the same mold as ESPN’s 40/40 Club, Bounce has more flat screens than a Best Buy, red leather booths, and a few black and white photos of old-time athletic clubs.

The menu classes up some old standards, serving hamburgers topped with Gruyere and a fried hen egg, duck sliders, and buttermilk fried chicken tenders. It’s hard to go wrong with the food here, and the full menu is available until 11:30 p.m., with appetizers available even later.

The crowd tends to be local professionals who have popped over for a chance to loosen their ties and catch a drink, but make no mistake: other than the wait staff, the scene at Bounce is decisively male. The place can get absolutely packed come game day, so make sure you’re OK with anonymous high-fiving and back slapping.

Watered down drinks. There are specials on find but the portions are tiny. They promote "table service" but the server completely forgot about us. Slate is much better for happy hour.

Rude bouncers. Told me I needed a reservation on a Sunday at 5pm while other people were waking in. Go to slate across the street. Much better establishment

Sweet bartenders. Great location. Weird crowd. Small groups of people; not much interaction. Wasn’t super bumping.

Waited in the freezing cold for 45 mins on a SHORT line while watching the bouncer let random people in on another line. Asked if that was the line for the open bar list I was apart of and the bouncer didn't even look at me and just said the short line was the open bar line. He only gives priority to table service clients. Open bar is $55 for 2 hours from 11pm-1am. I am not the type to have high expectations at any bar but I was pissed that the bouncer gave my friend who was bringing people in for their business to make money a really hard time. I was finally let in at 12am bc I guess the manager was going to "help us out." My friend didn't want us to pay the full $55 and was okay with us leaving so we did. I suggest doing an open bar celebration elsewhere. This place only gave my friend a headache.
